The APES 2022 Games Website is now live. Please have a look around. There are few things to note;
1. The sports programme and sports lists are drafts. We have had late requests for some additional sports, so have added these into the draft list.
2. The final list, along with the detailed programme will be published in July 2020.
3. We are very pleased to have partnered with Struddys. You will be able to get all your team gear, as well as plenty of 2022 Games merchandise and souvenirs, from our merchandise page. This will be available from 1 September 2020.
4. We are planning for the registration process to go live on 1 September 2020.
5. We will post on Facebook, and on our Instagram.
6. There is a feedback form, so if you have any questions, queries, comments please let us know and we will come back to you.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Gavin Dengate, Lisa Sims and all others involved with the organising 2020 Games. I know how much work they put in, in preparation for the 2020 Games, and like all of us recognise the additional challenges faced, firstly with the Bush Fires and then with COVID 19. Difficult as it was, I think I speak for all of us in acknowledging the timeliness and necessity of the decision to cancel the 2020 Games. We are hoping we can put on a Games worth remembering for you all.
We, here in NZ are very much looking forward to hosting you all in 2022. For those who are interested we are also planning to run a parallel tourism programme for supporters and Whanau during the Games. As this develops, we will publish on our website, here on Facebook, and our Instagram page.
