Terry first attended the World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) in 1989 in Vancouver competing in 7’s Rugby. He then attended the following WPFG; 1991 Memphis, 1993 Colorado Springs, 1995 Melbourne, 1997 Calgary, 1999 Stockholm, 2001 Indianapolis, 2003 Barcelona, 2005 Quebec, 2007 Adelaide, 2009 Vancouver, 2011 New York, 2013 Belfast and 2015 Fairfax. He also attended many World Firefighters Games and Interstate and interservice competitions since 1990.
Terry has been able to achieve some high sporting accolades such as Gold Medals, but he has also been on the other end, where he has not won a game.
Terry believes in going out there and having fun, giving your all, and enjoying the camaraderie that sport offers both on the field and off the field.
He has represented FRNSW in the following sports Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Tennis, 8 Ball, Horseshoes, Swimming, Darts, Ten Pin Bowling, Sailing and Boxing.
He has had the opportunity to meet lifelong friends during his FRNSW sporting career both within FRNSW and external such as FDNY, Indianapolis Fire, Chicago Police and UK Prisons.
The opportunity to represent FRNSW on the sporting field has been a highlight and one that he recommends to all FRNSW staff.
Terry looks forward to promoting an active and competitive lifestyle to all FRNSW staff and looks to promote the not so highly publicised sports and activities.
